This Data Privacy Policy outlines how we process your personal information when you sign up as a user in PesoWallet and apply for a loan with us.
Hi-Fin Lending Inc. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operator of the online lending application PesoWallet (the “App”), is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its users.
Before continuing, please carefully read the contents of this Data Privacy Policy.
In using and signing up for PesoWallet, you agree to be bound by this Data Privacy Policy, and use, storage, and processing of your personal data in accordance with this Data Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to be bound by Data Privacy Policy, you may not access or use PesoWallet app. By checking the consent box and proceeding with registration, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Data Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, storage, and processing of your personal data for the purposes described herein, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and applicable regulations.
By registering and using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years old, have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements, and are accessing the App on your own behalf.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
In signing up and applying a loan with us, we will collect the following information:
We may also collect information about credit status from credit information bureau, telecommunication companies, and other third party service providers.
For users who choose to login to the PesoWallet app via the third party platform, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, or others, we may collect any publicly available information such as your social media handle name and email as disclosed therein.
Other Information
We may collect the following information after obtaining the user's consent to access the application: SMS, Location, Camera, Device Model and Status, Storage (Photos Only), Application activity, Installed applications, Reference contacts, and Collaborator.
SMS: PesoWallet will access only finance-related SMS messages stored on your device (including sender/recipient information, timestamps, phone numbers, and message content) solely for the purpose of assessing your loan eligibility. We do not collect non-financial SMS messages, nor will we utilize such data for any other purposes or share it with third parties.
Furthermore, to enhance account security and verification efficiency, we will read One-Time Password (OTP) verification codes sent to your device via SMS. This function is used exclusively for automated identity verification to ensure the authenticity of transactions and login operations.
All collected information will be encrypted and uploaded to our secure server (https://apiprd.pesowallet-ph.com). This data will be processed through automated risk control models to determine your qualification for relevant financial services.
We collect SMS data strictly based on your explicit authorization. Under no circumstances will we share your information with any third party without your prior consent.
Should you wish to delete your personal data, please contact our customer service team at [email protected]. We will manually process your request within 3–5 working days.
Location: When you use our App, we may collect and analyze your geolocation information to help us assess financial and fraud risks. We are committed to not collecting your geolocation information when you are not using the App. You can disable the geolocation feature on your device at any time. Please be assured that we will never share your location data with any third party unless permitted by the exceptions set out in this policy.
Camera: When applying for a loan, you will need to use your camera to scan your ID information. After taking the photo, the relevant information will be automatically filled in. This is done to minimize input errors and save your valuable time. To ensure the security of your loan account, we will use live photos to compare whether the current operation is you. We will collect and ask you to upload a photo of your ID card and a live photo. We assure you that the uploaded photos will only be used for user loan approval and will not access the gallery or photos on your device. When applying for camera permission, we will ask for your consent again. You can turn off camera permissions at any time after applying for a loan. Please be assured that we will never share the photo data you upload or take with any third party, unless permitted by the exceptions stipulated in this policy.
Device Model and Status: The information we collect from your device includes advertised IDs, operating system information, SDK versions, and mobile network information (including carrier name, SIM card slot, your profile information, and Wi-Fi network information).
Storage (Photos Only): When users select a photo from the album, the application needs to access the gallery within the device's multimedia files. This access facilitates the selection and loading of images which required in the loan application. Only when photos are manually selected by users will be transferred to our application in encrypted form, and stored for one (1) year from the date of uploading. The Company will never collect your photos without your consent.
Application activity: We need access to the activity in the application, including package name, application name, time of first installation and time of application updates, to assess whether the customer is eligible for loan. We will upload this information to our servers https://apiprd.pesowallet-ph.com encrypted to identify and analyze behavior and risk in multiple loans to assess whether the loan can be processed, which helps prevent fraud.
Installed applications: In order to assess customer's eligibility for the loan, it is necessary to collect information about application activity. This information includes the name of the software package, the name of the application, when it was first installed and when it was updated. All of this information is uploaded in encrypted form to our servers at https://apiprd.PesoWallet-ph.com. We use this data to identify and analyze behaviors and risks associated with a number of loans to determine whether a loan application can be processed and to prevent fraud. Please be assured that we will never share your installed application data with any third party, unless permitted by the exceptions set out in this policy.
Reference Contacts: Borrowers are only required to enter the contact details of their reference contacts on the loan application so that we can contact them by phone/text message to verify the identity of the customer and the reference contact, lawful collection activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. We upload contact information encrypted to our servers in a secure network environment. The Company does not publicly disclose borrower information or loan status to reference contacts.
Collaborator: The SDK that we connect with Deeplink third-party services is released through multiple social networks such as Google and Facebook. The App may use third-party analytics and attribution service providers to identify marketing channels and measure campaign effectiveness. Such providers do not access users’ private social media accounts or personal communications. Deeplink and pesowallet do not obtain or use any information from user's private accounts.
Google Sign-In Data Collection:
To provide you with a faster and more convenient login experience, our app now supports Google Sign-In. When you choose to log in via Google, we may collect the following information with your consent:
- Email address
- Full name
- Profile picture
This information is used solely for authentication, account creation, and personalizing your experience within our app. We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

We will collect your information upon signing in the PesoWallet app. The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a designated place where we operate and will be processed by our staff operating in our workplaces. With this, we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Notice. All information you provide to us is stored either on secure servers. We will do our best to protect the data that is shared via the internet.
Once we have received your information, we use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
The Company may share your personal data with: (a) accredited credit bureaus, (b) regulatory authorities, (c) payment processors, (d) collection agencies, and (e) contracted service providers, only for lawful purposes and subject to appropriate data protection safeguards.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We undertake to preserve the confidentiality of all information you provide and that any personal data you provide or be obtained by us shall be subject to the highest standards of privacy, security and confidentiality and such information will not be disclosed to any third party other than as required by applicable laws, rules and regulations.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Moreover, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with the relevant laws and regulations to protect your personal information from any unauthorized access.
HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION
We shall retain your personal information for a period of five (5) years in order to comply with the applicable regulations, including the money laundering and terrorist financing act. We will also be retaining your personal information for a reasonable period of time, if your loan account remains outstanding.
The above data shall be stored for one (1) year from the last date of our service completion. If the customer wants to delete the data, they can send a request to customer service at the following email: [email protected] and the Company can manually delete the data within 3-5 business days.
YOUR RIGHTS
We respect and uphold your rights in relation to the collected personal information such as the right to withdraw consent, update, correct, delete, access your personal data.
HOW YOU CAN ACCESS OR UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
You can access and update your information by logging into your account. To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your information. It is important that the personal data you provide to us is accurate and complete for you. You are responsible for informing us of changes to your personal data, or in the event you believe that the personal data we have about you is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or out of date.
Your right to access or correct the information you provided shall be subject to contractual and legal restrictions and the same shall be exercised in accordance with the relevant data protection rules. If we are unable to provide you with any personal data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so except where we are not required to do so under the applicable data protection laws.
GENERAL
You have the right to request for a copy of your personal information that we keep. Depending on applicable laws and regulations, you may also request for the correction of any inaccurate data. You likewise have the right to suspend, withdraw or order the blocking, removal or destruction of your personal information from our system, subject to the requirements of law and regulation.
UPDATE
The Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes through the App, email notification, or in-app announcement, and continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of such updates.
